Restaurant Captain / Server

Join Our Food & Beverage Team! The Club at Las Campanas, one of Santa Fe's premier private country clubs, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Restaurant Captain to join our Food & Beverage team in a full-time position. We are looking for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences, building meaningful relationships with members, and leading by example in a refined dining environment.

As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our members and guests. You will oversee service within your assigned dining section, coordinate with culinary and service teams, and help ensure every dining experience reflects the high standards of The Club at Las Campanas. Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, personalized food and beverage service to Club members and guests. Lead assigned dining sections, ensuring seamless service from arrival through departure. Build relationships with members by learning their names, preferences, and special requests. Guide and support Back Servers and Server Assistants to maintain efficient, coordinated service.

Collaborate closely with chefs, bartenders, supervisors, and management to ensure exceptional dining experiences. Demonstrate strong knowledge of menus, daily specials, ingredients, wine, and beverage offerings. Accurately take and enter orders while communicating dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests.

Maintain professional dining room presentation, table settings, and service standards. Anticipate member needs, address concerns promptly, and ensure a consistently high level of satisfaction. Participate in pre-shift meetings, service training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with private events, banquets, and special Club functions as needed.

Follow all food safety, alcohol service, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in fine dining, upscale restaurants, private clubs, hotels, or full-service hospitality environments. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to deliver polished, attentive, and professional dining service. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence. New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification. Food Handler Certification, as required by law or Club policy. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred: Previous experience as a Restaurant Captain, Lead Server, Fine Dining Server, or similar position.

Experience mentoring, training, or leading restaurant service staff. Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and professional beverage service. High school diploma or equivalent.
