Teacher Assistant- Class Size

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School transcript, DD214, or GED. Transcript showing 48 college hours or Para-Professional. Specific Training/Skills: Job skills are required to perform tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Physical Requirements Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions.

• Assist teacher in the management of student arrival and departure activities.
• Assist with the individual goals of students.
• Support learning experiences that will assist student academic success.
• Assist in supervision of students.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain safety and welfare of students.
• Provide one-to-one assistance with academic and/or daily activities.
• Regularly required to stand, walk and bend/kneel while completing responsibilities listed previously.
