Accounts Payable Specialist

Janel Group Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 (Advanced Excel Test required) Location: onsite in Houston Hiring Need: ASAP Pay Rate: $20–$22 per hour Schedule: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM OR 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Work-from-Home Flexibility: One day per week, once fully trained. Testing Requirement: Candidates must be able to successfully complete an advanced Excel assessment, including formulas and pivot tables.

Job Description: Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: Handle A/P transactions and payments for domestic vendors and international agents reconciling statements while ensuring proper approvals, verification of charges and ensuring payments are made within agreed terms Help automate processes and streamline procedures; eliminating repetitive or manual steps Tracking and posting invoices Researching and resolving discrepancies, questions, and concerns from vendors, agents, and partners while keeping confidentiality where applicable Capably and confidently identify, prioritize and resolve service challenges, while managing a full workload in a fast-paced environment Position Requirements: 1+ years' of accounts payable Experience with excel knowledge, including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.

Freight and logistics industry experience is a plus but not required Accurate data entry skills Ability to learn and master our Accounting and Operations ERP system (Cargo.
