Human Resources Manager

Egis is an international group offering engineering, project structuring and operations services. In engineering and consulting, its sectors of activity include transport, urban development, building, industry, water, environment, and energy. In roads and airports, its offer is enlarged to encompass project structuring, equity investment, facilities delivery, and operations.

The Group additionally deploys its expertise in areas such as new mobility services and turnkey energy systems. KMTR is a strategic cross-border transport greenfield corridor connecting the DRC Copperbelt with Zambia and regional trade routes to Southern and Eastern Africa. The activity includes toll road operations, weighbridge facilities, One-Stop Border Posts (OSBP), asset maintenance, customer services, and supporting corporate functions operating across two jurisdictions.

Reports to the General Manager The HR Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Human Resources activities, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services that support the operational needs of the KMTR concession. The HR Manager oversees recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, performance management, training, HR administration, and compliance with labor legislation.

The role works closely with operational managers to ensure a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce across the organization. HR Operations : Manage all day-to-day Human Resources activities. Administer the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding. Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied.

Recruitment & Onboarding : Coordinate recruitment activities in partnership with managers. Manage onboarding and employee integration. Support workforce planning and staffing requirements. Employee Administration : Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation. Coordinate payroll inputs, leave management, and employee benefits.

Ensure compliance with local labor legislation and internal procedures. Employee Relations : Support managers on employee relations matters. Assist in disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution. Promote a positive and respectful working environment. Training & Performance : Coordinate training and development activities.

Support performance review processes. Monitor mandatory training and compliance requirements. HR Reporting : Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics. Monitor headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment KPIs. We are seeking a hands-on HR professional with strong operational expertise and the ability to support a fast-paced business in a multicultural environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field Experience 7–10 years of Human Resources experience, including operational HR responsibilities. Experience in infrastructure, construction, mining, industrial, or multinational environments. Experience in Central Africa, preferably in the DRC and/or Zambia.

Good knowledge of labor legislation, payroll administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
