Boiler Operator

The Gas-Fired Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the boiler, steam, water-treatment, condensate-return, and associated utility systems supporting ethanol production. The position requires independent operating judgment, disciplined control of steam pressure and quality, and timely response to changing plant loads.

At Hastings, this includes supporting the single-boiler, higher-pressure steam system and MVR operation, including required steam dryness and reliability. The operator must understand how boiler and utility decisions affect plant safety, production, energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance.
