The Opportunity As Marketing Manager, you’ll coordinate marketing activity for The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences, bringing fresh ideas to the hotel and helping build engagement with guests and local audiences.

You’ll take ownership of the hotel’s food and beverage marketing plan and social media calendar, while working across content, partnerships, public relations and the guest journey. You’ll be part of the hotel’s operational team and work closely with the wider marketing team, who will support you as you grow into the role.

What You’ll Be Doing Maintain the hotel’s marketing activity plan and keep colleagues informed about upcoming activity. Own the food and beverage marketing plan and the hotel’s social media calendar. Develop marketing activations, bring hotel teams together to deliver them and share plans across the business. Oversee and report on social media activity, creating ideas that encourage engagement and sharing.

Direct photography and video shoots, including briefing photographers, preparing for shoots and sourcing models. Build community connections and partnerships that grow the hotel’s reach and audience. Organise influencer and public relations stays, and meet with relevant press at the hotel. Lead food and beverage marketing across menus, digital content, messaging, promotions and point-of-sale materials.

Look for partnership opportunities with suppliers and keep up with trends that could create new opportunities for the hotel. Find ways to grow the food and beverage database and send regular email campaigns. Work with the hotel team to develop the brand and guest experience, from arrival through to check-out. Help colleagues understand and deliver the brand, including by developing engaging induction and learning materials with the People team.

Attend team briefings and monthly Heads of Department meetings, sharing marketing updates and ideas. Build strong working relationships with the General Manager, Director of Operations and hotel teams. Review marketing activity and results, drawing conclusions to help improve future plans. What We’re Looking For Hospitality marketing experience as a Senior Marketing Executive or Junior Marketing Manager.

Experience in a central London or five-star hotel would be an advantage. Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt content to a specific tone of voice. A creative approach and the ability to turn ideas into well-planned, practical activity. A good eye for photography, video and high-quality content. Editing skills would be useful.

The ability to review performance information and draw useful conclusions. Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate events, briefs and competing priorities. Confidence communicating ideas and working with senior operational colleagues. Curiosity and an interest in hospitality, its systems and its customers.

You’ll be based at The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences on Piccadilly and work on site at least four days a week. The role is full time, with occasional travel to our other hotels and business areas to build your knowledge and relationships. Why Join Us?
