Service Technician
Job description
Overview
The Service Engineer is responsible for traveling to customer facilities to perform service-related tasks efficiently and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Extensive travel required, 80% or more, including domestic and international assignments to deliver exceptional on-site service and support. Accurately set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts to ensure optimal machine performance and safety. Expertly align machines and equipment using precision tools and techniques to maintain operational efficiency.
Assemble, install, and configure complex machinery and equipment according to engineering specifications and customer requirements. Arrange, mark, and drill mounting holes; modify components as needed to achieve proper fit and function. Diagnose issues and replace defective parts promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Safely dismantle machines for repair, maintenance, or relocation, and reassemble to factory standards. Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly units, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site, providing effective solutions under time constraints.
Communicate professionally with customers, provide updates, technical guidance, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance. Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs Any additional duties assigned by management Qualifications & Experience: Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
