About the Role

Riverbend Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Bakery/Deli Clerk at our Outlook Food Store. This hands-on role supports the bakery and deli team with customer service, food preparation, stocking, cleanliness, food safety, and fresh food programs, including chicken production. What You’ll Be Doing Provide friendly, helpful service to members and customers.

Prepare, wrap, stock, display, and price bakery and deli products. Support bakery production, including measuring, mixing, baking, decorating, and packaging items. Assist with deli production and the chicken program, following proper preparation, monitoring, packaging, and safe food handling procedures. Help with customer questions, deli purchases, and special orders.

Receive, store, rotate, and track products to help keep items fresh and department standards consistent. Keep the department, equipment, prep areas, and customer spaces clean, safe, and organized. Follow food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and Co-op procedures, including refrigeration temperature checks.

What You Will Need

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Friendly customer service skills and the ability to work well with fellow Team Members. Comfort working in a fast-paced food environment. The ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and safe work procedures. The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
