JOB TITLE: Operations Associate REPORTS TO: Director of School Operations DEPARTMENT: School Operations POSITION TYPE: 12-month COMPENSATION: Network Pay Scale 7 LEAD Public Schools is Nashville’s largest homegrown charter network with five schools serving 2,400 students through both open enrollment and zoned-enrolled schools.

JOB GOAL: The Operations Associate (OA) is responsible for assisting and facilitating alongside the Director of School Operations (DSO) in the day to day operations of the school.
You are responsible for supporting vendor management, assisting with purchasing, attendance process management, transportation, safety and security and managing the school/campuses technology management. In this role, the OA will develop their operational competencies and have the opportunity after successful acquiring of competencies, to pathway into a future DSO role.
Additionally, serves as a primary point of contact for assigned school operation functions.
EDUCATION
& PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required) 2+ years in an administrative role, preferably in a school main office 3 years of experience with facilities management or school operations THE ROLE: Assists the physical operation of the school including security, key management, cameras, copiers etc.
and maintains the schools inventory of hardware Partners with the DSO with decisions regarding improving operational systems, processes, and policies Supports and manages school services including nutrition, building maintenance, transportation and grounds Assists and leads school staff training and documentation of operation compliance with LEAD Public Schools operational mandates Help oversee the physical operation of the school including security and hardware technical support Work with the DSO in ensuring the safety of personnel and students in their use of the facilities including the scheduling and management of required drills (fire, lockdown, etc.)
Serves as a member of the schools emergency response team, completes required trainings, and follows emergency communications, reporting, and implementation procedures Maintains strict confidentiality when dealing with student records and personnel matters Analyzes situations and takes appropriate action regarding routine/emergency procedural matters without immediate supervision Acts as the primary contact regarding student attendance records and leading of home visits, ARBs, AIPs, attendance team meetings and filing of truancy notifications Prepares a variety of documents and materials in support of school site operations including statistical reports, forms, and rosters In collaboration with the school leadership organizes community outreach and holds attendance information sessions for families Work with the Office Manager and Child Nutrition Manager on requested verification form collection Works with the DSO to order, receive, properly secure, and inventory campus goods according to the purchase order system Responds to requests for translation assistance and various other requests via Freshdesk Assists with responding to requests from operational platforms such as Slack, Smart.
Inspect, Transportation Tracker, and Attendance Tracker and Deans. List Serve as backup medical designee to administer first aid and student medication Attends required staff meetings and in-service trainings Maintains timely, regular, and consistent attendance at work Additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Belief in and commitment to the mission of “Ready for College and Ready for Life” and values of LEAD Public Schools At least 2 years exemplary record working in a fast-paced office environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Stands, walks and bends over, kneels, crouches, reaches overhead, grasps, pushes, and pulls.
Moves, lifts, and/or carries up to 50 pounds to waist height. Ability to assess performance and develop methods and techniques for improvement Proven ability to work collaboratively on projects Demonstrated ability to manage projects Proficiency and advanced experience with Google Suite and equivalent student database software Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends, as needed Proficiency and experience in Google Suite (Doc and Sheets) Ability to anticipate and resolve problems Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback Ability to maintain emotional control under stress Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment Creates and maintains positive working relationships on a team and/or in a highly collaborative environment A dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professional Excellent organizational and people skills including time management and follow up NICE TO HAVES: Experience supporting with nutrition services and vendor management Bilingual in Spanish and/or Arabic Demonstrated ability to supervise staff Experience with Infinite Campus THE PERKS OF THE WORK: Compensation: This is a full-time exempt position.
