Events Executive
Job description
Lockton's Marketing team is an integrated group of divisional marketing, communications and creative specialists who act as trusted advisors to create and deliver strategic marketing initiatives that support business objectives. Our specialist expertise spans event management, advertising, design, content creation, thought leadership, digital marketing and client communications.
We partner closely with our broking divisions to develop tailored marketing strategies that drive engagement, strengthen client relationships and support commercial growth. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to marketing at Lockton. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Events Executive to support the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of internal and external events.
Working closely with the Senior Events Manager and key stakeholders across the business, you will be responsible for managing events from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards and aligned with business goals. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of activities, including client events, conferences, networking events, award ceremonies, sponsorship activations and internal engagement initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for creating exceptional event experiences.

Events planning & delivery Stakeholder management Budget & supplier management Event marketing & communications On-site event management Reporting & continuous improvement It is essential that you have: Previous experience in an events role, with responsibility for planning and delivering events from concept to completion.
Strong project management and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with external suppliers and venues. Budget management and cost-tracking experience. Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Willingness to travel and provide occasional support outside standard working hours when required for events. Personal Attributes Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach. Strong relationship-building and communication abilities. Commercial awareness and sound decision-making. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues. Confidence working with senior stakeholders. A genuine passion for delivering high-quality events and experiences.
Desirable skills Experience delivering events within a professional services, financial services or insurance environment. Experience using CRM systems and event management platforms. Knowledge of event marketing, email campaigns and attendee engagement strategies. Experience managing sponsorships, exhibitions or partnership activations.
Familiarity with event reporting and ROI measurement.
