Job description
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumping systems and a wide range of mechanical equipment.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of mechanics and technicians to achieve departmental objectives and performance targets.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend engineering solutions to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Promote a strong safety culture and maintain a safe and productive workshop environment.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a reputable organization, preferably with experience leading and supervising technical teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of pumping systems, including installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Sound understanding of mechanical systems, workshop operations, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in modern engineering software, maintenance management systems, and digital technologies used to improve operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
