Manager (RN) – Wound Care Job Type: Full Time | Days *Internal Applicants Only * Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. More about our tea m The Wound Care RN is responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care.
The RN is responsible for following all WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse, or Physician. The RN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data conferences, and continuing education is required as determined by the Program Director.
How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
- Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, applicable work experience may be used in lieu of educaiton.
- One year of experience preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
