CNC/Metal Spinning Technologist

CNC / Metal Spinning Technologist A.J. Rose Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC / Metal Spinning Technologist to serve as a technical leader and mentor within our manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a seasoned CNC machining and metal spinning expert who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing talent, and improving processes more than operating equipment on a daily basis.

The primary focus of this role is to troubleshoot equipment, train, coach, and develop junior operators and setup personnel, establish best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout our CNC and metal spinning operations. This position is non-union, hourly and on 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment to correct in-process problems. Assist engineering in installation, start-up, and operating specifications for modified or new equipment. Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, adjust PMs, and maintain accurate records of equipment performance. Document installation, testing, and application of new technology or equipment modifications.

Train operators using written standards for effective equipment operation. Recommend equipment improvements and modifications based on performance and history. Coordinate required and emergency equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

5+ years of practical experience in manufacturing. Knowledge and experience with: CNC machine operation and programming Machining Quality standards and procedures OSHA basic safety training Basic principles of electrical and pneumatic mechanics Statistical Process Control (SPC) Strong mechanical aptitude and refined problem-solving skills.

Ability to apply 7-Step Problem Solving processes and participate in formal problem-solving teams. Technical communication skills, both verbal and written.

What You'll Do

This is not a production-focused machine operator position. Instead, you will serve as the organization's technical resource for CNC and metal spinning operations, helping build workforce capability, transfer knowledge, improve training effectiveness, and support long-term manufacturing excellence.
