Surgical Technologist - Orthopedic ASC (casual position)

Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring. Work Schedule: casual position

• M-F days, rotating start times from 6a-9a Required Qualifications: Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs: CST ( https://nbstsa.org/examinations-cst.html ) or NCCT ( https://www.ncctinc.com/General/Verify. Certification.aspx ) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently validated CPR skills preferred Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods. Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
