Welding Process Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to support product introductions, process changes, and capacity improvements. Develop and maintain process and machinery specifications, ensuring alignment with product requirements, quality standards, and operational needs. Support the introduction of new products and process changes, including equipment selection, layout development, and process validation.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, product engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure successful process implementation. Evaluate existing processes and equipment to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, cost, and safety improvements. Support equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.

Apply structured problem‑solving methods to address process performance issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related discipline). 3–7+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related industrial environment. Demonstrated experience designing or implementing manufacturing processes and production equipment.

Experience developing and maintaining process or machinery specifications. Hands‑on experience supporting production environments, including troubleshooting and process optimization. Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
