About the Role
As a Banquet Server at The Aster, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and functions. Your primary objective is to ensure guests and members receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service in a fast-paced banquet environment. You will collaborate closely with the culinary and event teams to set up banquet spaces, serve food and beverages, and maintain cleanliness throughout the event.
This role demands a keen attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest needs to enhance overall satisfaction. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the seamless execution of events, leaving a positive and lasting impression on all members and guests.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience in banquet or food service roles is required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in food handling or hospitality service. Experience working in a high-volume banquet or catering environment. Familiarity with POS systems and order management. Multilingual abilities to assist diverse guest populations. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and place settings. Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring all guests' dietary needs and preferences are accommodated. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to coordinate timing and delivery of courses and refreshments. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and resolve any service issues to ensure a positive experience. Skills: The required skills such as effective communication and attention to detail are essential for providing attentive and personalized service to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Physical stamina and time management skills enable you to handle the demands of setting up and serving during busy events efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices ensures compliance with health regulations and maintains guest safety.
Preferred skills

Additionally, teamwork and problem-solving abilities help you collaborate with colleagues and address any challenges that arise during events, contributing to a smooth and successful banquet experience. Hourly Pay: $25/hr plus tips
