Direct Support Professional Day Program

Job Title: Direct Support Professional Location: Salt Lake City, UT Hours: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday

The position works with a dynamic and dedicated team to supervise, teach and support individuals with disabilities and provide a balance of therapeutic, recreational, and leisure activities. The program encourages social interaction and integration in the community, while adhering to health and safety standards. This position will also provide (residential support) in the mornings for 1-2 hours before transitioning to our day activities program for the rest of their workday.

What you will do

Provide supervision of assigned individuals Implement vocational and behavioral training for assigned individuals Conduct assigned daily activities Support individuals while attending community activities and events Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in your care Assist individuals with their activities of daily living ADLs Lift and transfer individuals as needed Enter individual’s data in Therap each day Drive individuals on activities and to/from home Follow all compliance requirements of position Medication distribution per protocol Transport clients between locations Light cleaning / tidying up Assisting clients with hygiene including toileting & showering What you’ll need to succeed: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old One year of experience is preferred Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record Must pass an initial criminal background and then annually thereafter We are an equal-opportunity employer.
