Charge Capture & Revenue Integrity Own front-end charge capture accuracy and completeness; identify and close revenue leakage. Partner with clinical departments on documentation and charge reconciliation to support correct reimbursement, including DRG-driven cases.
Back-End Coordination & System Efficiency Serve as the front-end partner to the back-end billing and collections team, aligning workflows so claims go out clean and denials are prevented at the source. Track and act on shared KPIs (clean-claim rate, denial rate, days in AR) and lead root-cause resolution of front-end-driven denials.
Drive continuous improvement across the full cycle to reduce cost to collect and shorten the cash cycle. Compliance Ensure access, HIM, charge capture, and collection practices comply with federal and state regulations, payer requirements, HIPAA, price-transparency rules, and applicable Stark/AKS considerations. Leadership Recruit, develop, and manage patient access, scheduling, HIM, and front-end collection staff and supervisors.
Build training, QA, and performance standards; provide executive-level reporting and revenue cycle narrative for leadership. Set clear goals and expectations; provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews. Develop talent through mentoring, training, and career development initiatives. Promote a collaborative and engaging work environment that aligns with company values.
Manage conflict and make timely decisions to maintain team focus and performance. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations. Approve timecards, schedule, time-off requests, and other administrative HR functions. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
