Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for asset accounting and reconciliations, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly and quarterly reports for corporate in addition to custom reports.

Key Responsibilities

Perform fixed asset accounting Generate and maintain financial records and reports Perform bank reconciliations for assigned accounts Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts Perform journal entries as part of the month end closing process for various transactions Assist with budgets Conduct internal audits Maintain accounts payable documentation File sales tax returns Assist Executive team and department leaders as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes Backfill Payroll Department when needed.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong numeracy and analytical skills. Good problem-solving and time management skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. Working knowledge of GAAP. Knowledge of PowerBI and SQL preferred.

Education

& Experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance or a related field. 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting. Valid Driver’s License. High School Diploma or equivalent Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
