Director of Community Relations

Four Winds Hospital in Westchester is seeking a full-time, on-site, warm and energetic, Director of Community Relations. This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position with traditional weekday office hours and some local travel, meetings and events outside of regular office hours including occasional visits to our Saratoga campus.

Primary duties include coordinating all digital and print communications, marketing, media, social media, events, website management, and public outreach for the hospital. The goal is to build community inside and outside the hospital, enhance the hospital’s image, and maximizes the visibility of the work we do. Four Winds is a one of its kind, family-run psychiatric hospital founded in 1978, affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

We are a 175-bed facility where patients stay in cottages with adjacent play areas located on a beautiful 55-acre campus setting. Job highlights Coordinates social media strategies, and manages and develops content for the hospital's website and social media accounts Upholds the hospital's image standards and acts as quality control for correspondence, communications, and public-facing documents; edits materials for grammar and syntax as needed Plans and executes the hospital's speaker's bureau, job fairs, appearances at schools, clinics, on Podcasts and other public-facing events Monitors and responds to community feedback and complaints, and serves as community liaison in the hospital's catchment areas Conducts tours of the hospital for visitors and guests Influences customer-service-focused environment throughout the hospital Supports the Executive Medical Director with news media and public speaking opportunities; and maintains a list of past and upcoming speaking engagements Assists with photography as needed Occasional local travel to job fairs, ERs, NAMI Walks, and our Saratoga campus Qualifications Bachelor's degree with experience in communications, advertising, public relations, or marketing Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines Superior communication, writing, and editing skills Creative and engaging spirit Facility with PowerPoint, Canva, and Excel Photography skills preferred Generous Benefits Defined benefit pension plan (employer funded) 401K Medical, dental, and life insurance HSA and flexible spending plan Salary Salary $85,000-$95,000 Four Winds is an Equal Opportunity Employer
