Job description

Applications are invited for the post of full-time Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Biomedical Sciences. Applicants should have (i) a Ph.D. degree or equivalent, preferable in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines; (ii) research experience in cancer biology, tumor immunology, metabolism, and diseased animal models; (iii) a good command of English in both writing and speaking; and (iv) self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Candidates with recent research experience in tumor immunology and animal work will be desirable. The appointee will be responsible for (a) working on research projects related to liver cancer; (b) generating data for grant applications and preparing manuscripts for publication; (c) working closely with other team members and external collaborators, including presenting progress in a regular manner; (d) providing training and supervising junior staff and students; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance, funding availability and mutual agreement.
