Safety (EHS) Representative

Seeking local candidates The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Representative is responsible for the implementation and administration of the corporate safety program at the job-site/area, trend analysis and all reporting activities. Ensure the behavior of the crew is in accordance with company safety culture. Understands the lagging and leading safety indicators and promotes a philosophy that achieves established goals.

Identification of job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, material procurement, training requirements and tracking of training.

Education and Experience

Three years field safety experience in a construction evironment. Previous construction safety experience or commensurate knowledge in Code of Federal Regulations (CFR 1926) required Current OSHA 500 Certification (Train the Trainer course) strongly preferred Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required Some background in Industrial Hygiene highly desirable Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work a 60/60/50 work schedule Ability to recognize and correct safety-related hazards and targeted safety trends Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing Ability to interpret and apply OSHA standards Proficient in MS Windows/Office programs Ability to work long hours and travel if needed Working knowledge of construction practices Ability to work as a team member Our Award Winning Benefits 100% paid medical, dental and vision premiums for Employee AND Dependents 401(k) with 6% match and profit sharing Paid Short and Long-Term Disability Paid basic term life insurance coverage Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Account Paid Vacation, Sick and Holiday benefits
