Commercial HVAC Technician

Skillforce is hiring Lead Commercial HVAC Technicians for ongoing project work in Richmond, Virginia. As a Lead Commercial HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for leading commercial service work. This position includes a company take-home van from day one. Lead Commercial HVAC Technician Pay: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour, based on experience. W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit. Lead Commercial HVAC Technician Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday. Primarily daytime commercial hours. Overtime is available and regularly worked. Lead Commercial HVAC Technician Responsibilities: Lead service calls and scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment at multiple customer sites.

Diagnose and repair complex commercial system failures, including the tough calls other technicians bring to you. Run the crew day to day by setting priorities, directing technicians, and checking work before a job closes. Plan your own daily route and the crew's workload with limited supervision. Make sure every visit is documented accurately and completely.

Keep the company take-home van and all assigned tools in clean, working condition. Communicate professionally with facility managers and on site contacts. Lead Commercial HVAC Technician Qualifications: You have senior level, hands on commercial HVAC service experience. Residential only experience does not qualify. You have led or directed other technicians on commercial service work.

You can diagnose and repair commercial systems on your own, from the first call to the final fix. You hold EPA Section 608 certification, which federal law requires for refrigerant handling. You have a clean driving record, verified by a motor vehicle records check, since a take-home van is provided. You can pass a drug screen and background check, and you are authorized to work in the United States.

EPA 608 Universal, rooftop unit and air handler experience, building controls familiarity, and OSHA 10 are all a plus.
