The Recovery Support Technician’s primary responsibility is safety and security of programs and clients QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Minimum of 12 months continuous sobriety, if applicable. Two years post-secondary education is preferred. Two years prior experience in a treatment facility (or other specialized knowledge and experience) preferred.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Must have ability to be CPR and First Aid Certified upon 30 days of employment. Satisfactory criminal records check. Satisfactory sex crimes records check. WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE: Maintain operation control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.

Ensure client’s compliance with Volunteers of America Mid-States policies and house rules. Maintain chronologically written records of events that occur during the shift. Maintain client sign-in/sign-out log. Make periodic tours of the facility and its grounds. Monitor the number of clients in facility and their behavior hourly.

Complete required documentation. Attend training and clinical supervision. Provide transportation. Provide childcare if needed. Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards. Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by Supervisor and PQI Committee.
