Social Worker I

Location: SOCIAL SERVICES BRF Department: Child & Family Services Summary: POSITION OVERVIEW: A Social Worker – One is a Social Worker who has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services-related field and has obtained a Social Worker Training Certificate. A Social Worker-One is certified professional representative of the Ho-Chunk Nation who is responsible for assisting the families CFS serves with exemplary customer service in order to begin the steps to resolving past traumas.

The Social Worker-One will have a professional knowledge or willingness to learn about the Ho-Chunk Child and Family standard operating procedures and processes, in addition to gaining knowledge of Ho-Chunk values and culture, intergenerational and historical trauma. The Social Worker-One position applies best social work practices for working with children, adults, families and elders in collaboration with CFS Staff and collateral agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required. ESSENTIAL:
2. Possess a Wisconsin Social Work Training Certification.
3. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance.
4. Completes all documentation in a timely manner.
5. Must promote a positive, non-abusive, healthy lifestyle. EXPERIENCE:
6. One (1) year of experience demonstrating working knowledge of social work or related field of practice is preferred.
