Medical Assistant - Neurosurgery Clinic - Full Time - 10hr Days

Our Neurosurgery clinic cares for patients with spine, brain, pituitary and neuro-oncology conditions and is supported by a collaborative team of Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants. Perform patient intake, including medical/surgical history, vital signs, medication reconciliation and screenings Communicate pertinent patient information to providers Manage patient in-basket messages, medication refills and prior authorizations Prepare and stock exam rooms and monitor supplies and expiration dates Support efficient patient flow in a high-volume clinical environment Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical office, ambulatory care facility, or medical group practice. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Registered Medical Assistant from board approved Medical Assistant Organization highly preferred. Medical Assistant experience 2+ years Neurosurgery/Neurology experience 1+ years Epic experience Prior Authorizations
