They offer state-of-the-art technology for diagnosing issues in order to implement accurate solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to lead a team of workshop staff. The team is required to deliver the timely servicing and repair of clients’ heavy vehicles, with the highest standard of workmanship.

The Position In this position, you will be required to work autonomously between the hours of 6am to 4pm, where you will be tasked with supervising and leading a team of workshop staff, who are tasked with performing routine maintenance on trucks to ensure optimal vehicle operations. You will be required to inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the correct condition to operate safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

Leading and overseeing the workshop team of staff When required, onsite and workshop-based servicing of fleet On a daily basis, perform job handover to the night shift crew The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Technology Valid Australian truck driver’s licence Excellent relationship management skills, being able to create and nurture relationships with staff and customers A team player with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Good organisation and time management skills Reliable and punctual Ability to perform to a high standard in a busy environment The Benefits: Some of the benefits of working for this company include: Being part of a Dedicated Team in a supportive and friendly work environment, where the company considers their employees to be the most valuable asset to the business.
