Utility Worker

The Utility Worker is responsible for ensuring that buildings and the areas surrounding them are clean, well-lit, functional and safe. To this end, a Utility Worker job description may include the following duties: Reading work orders and developing plans to execute them Replacing light bulbs and making repairs to light fixtures Maintaining landscaping, lawns, outbuildings, parking areas and fencing Making basic repairs to plumbing, HVAC and structural problems Conducting routine maintenance on building systems, such as replacing filters in HVAC systems Servicing and cleaning tools and equipment used for maintenance Ordering, inventorying and organizing equipment and supplies needed for maintenance Updating and keeping records of all work orders completed
