Accounts Receivable Associate

Our team is driven by curiosity and dedicated to quality. The Role As our Accounts Receivable Associate, you'll own the order-to-cash cycle for every brand and location we ship from. You'll invoice daily, keep collections moving, and partner with Sales and Customer Service so customers get accurate bills and we get paid on time. This hybrid role reports to the Accounting Supervisor and is a great fit for someone who likes clean ledgers and good conversations.

What You'll do

• Invoice all shipments daily across every brand and location, accurately and on time.
• Manage collections: contact customers about past-due balances, secure payment commitments, and document every follow-up.
• Monitor accounts against payment terms and escalate delinquent accounts for finance holds or management review under our credit and collection policies.
• Research and reconcile customer accounts, resolving short payments, unapplied cash, invoice disputes, and billing questions.
• Apply incoming customer payments following established procedures.
• Prepare and send monthly customer statements.
• Build and maintain AR and aging reports for management.
• Process new customer credit applications and keep credit and account information current in our ERP.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service, and other teams to resolve account issues.
• Spot and suggest improvements to AR, invoicing, and collection processes.
• Other duties as assigned. Pay and benefits The pay range for this position is 50,000-60,000/annually . Starting pay within the range depends on experience, education, and skills.

Requirements

What you bring

• 2+ years of accounting experience, including accounts receivable, billing, and/or credit and collections.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations) and strong overall MS Office skills.
• Sharp attention to detail with strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication, including comfortable phone conversations about past-due balances.
• Good judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to build partnerships at every level.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a growing, multi-brand business.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another manufacturing-integrated ERP.
• AR experience in manufacturing, distribution, or building products.
