Job description

The Administrative Resident will provide leadership in the development, implementation, integration and ongoing evaluation of projects and/or initiatives assigned by Senior Leadership within Tenet Florida Physician Services. The Administrative Resident will serve as the liaison between administration, clinicians and other parties as deemed necessary to fulfill the goals and objectives of the assignments.

The Administrative Resident will demonstrate a clear understanding and communicate effectively the goals of the project and how it relates to Tenet standards and hospital objectives. Demonstrates the ability to choose appropriate course of action and makes decisions based on ethical principles. Addresses ethical issues in providing patient care.

Ensures patient’s Bill of Rights. Advocates on behalf of recipients of services and personnel. Maintains privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, client, staff, and organization data. Advocates organizational adherence to the Tenet code of Ethics. Fosters a non-discriminatory climate in which care is delivered in a manner sensitive to socio­cultural diversity.

EDUCATION

/ EXPERIENCE Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job. Minimum: Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Master's Degree in Hospital Health, Business Administration, or Finance/Accounting. Prior experience working in hospital setting or internship in healthcare related field. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: None Required PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position requires some travel as required, standing, walking, etc. during the normal work day. Carrying paperwork and other materials up to 20-30 pounds is sometimes required. Fine motor skills such as fingering are necessary as is the need to hear sounds or speech, use hand/eye coordination, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions and make independent decisions appropriate to the situation.
