Veterinary Assistant

VCA Orange Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Location: 1100 W Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92868 Salary: $ 17 – 22 per hour, depending on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: * Maintaining medical records. * Creating and reviewing treatment plans with pet owners * Preparing the surgical suite and surgical patients. * Filling prescriptions. * Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging. * Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Our facility features in-house blood chemistry testing, complete blood cell count testing, and pancreatitis testing.

Our team has a focus on gold standard patient care and expanding the learning and growth of team members. We also offer cross-training opportunities and support the expansion of client communication skills.
