Electrical Maintenance Technician

DIS-TRAN Steel is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in our Pineville, LA plant.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment throughout the plant following all safety standards and observing the local, state, and national electrical-code regulations pertaining to the work being conducted. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will ensure the continued functioning of electrical equipment by its proper installation, maintenance, and repair.

The person in this position must be able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. The person must also be comfortable interpreting PLC ladder logic programs. Other tasks in this role include performing preventative maintenance inspections and electrical current tests.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by the continued successful completion of assigned tasks with minimized equipment downtime. This individual has the ability to train and qualify individuals in the Maintenance positions.
