Quality Inspector I

• MANCHESTER, CT, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Summary:Ensure product and documentation conforms to customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings/operations sheets and determine appropriate tooling needed to perform inspection.
• Perform layout inspection under the direction of a supervisor.
• Review and interpret data, test reports, and certifications for compliance to customer requirements.
• Document and enter inspection findings into the system.
• Partner with manufacturing to resolve daily production issues.
• Understand and operate within the QMS (AS9100).
• Ensure product release occurs only when all customer requirements including documents, certification, and product are conforming and compliant, in concert with Supervisor. Competencies:

• Ability to read and write English
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment.
• Basic understanding of GD&T.
• Basic blueprint reading skills.
• Familiarity with AS9100.
• Basic computer skills.
