Automotive Service Porter | Giles Nissan Lafayette, LA | $13/hr

Giles Nissan is looking for a dependable individual who takes pride in properly caring for and handling customers and their vehicles. This position is an important part of our daily dealership operations, working closely with our sales, service, and management teams to keep vehicles organized, service department clean, accessible, and ready for customers.

This is more than simply moving cars around the lot. The right person understands the importance of vehicle care, safe vehicle operations, lot organization, attention to detail, and getting the job done without constant supervision.

• Pay: Starting at $13/hour, Full Time

What you’ll do:

• Keep main shop, service drive, express shop, and waiting areas clean.
• Keep vehicles properly organized so service teams can quickly locate them.
• Assist with service lane traffic and safely direct and move vehicles as needed.
• Remove old tires and batteries
• Keep tool rooms clean and organized
• Shuttle service customers as needed
• Follow all dealership procedures regarding vehicle keys, security, and safe operations.

What Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who understands automotive lot operations and takes pride in doing the job right.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 21+ years of age, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Strong attention to detail and respect for customer and all vehicles.
• Work independently and stay productive throughout the day.
• Willingness to learn dealership processes and grow within the automotive industry.
