Registered Nurse

WKHS is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to work on all 4 WKHS campuses. The RN will coordinate nursing care for patients while in the Physician Clinics, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel. A detailed-orientated, dependable, organized nurse who is able to do multitask and has demonstrated a consistent work history will be the candidate chosen for the job!

Your responsibilities

will include, but are not limited to, the following: assessing the patient systematically and utilizing the assessment data to plan appropriate nursing care; implementing care based on knowledge of professional standards of nursing practice; assisting the physician with the patient#s plan of care and the patient#s response to the nursing intervention on a continuous basis; and identifying the learning needs of patients and family members and meets these through the teaching/learning process.

The nurse will administer medication, set up and assist with clinic procedures. They#will work with insurance companies#for referrals and pre-autherizations. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will not be required to work weekends and holidays. An RN with a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the state of Louisiana will be required for this position.
