Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Clevedon workshop, you will: Carry out vehicle servicing , routine maintenance, safety inspections, and mechanical repairs to high technical standards. Inspect and assess core systems , including brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, and timing assemblies. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately using modern diagnostic software and equipment.
Maintain precise digital job records while adhering strictly to workshop health and safety guidelines. Collaborate productively with fellow mechanics to keep the workshop flowing efficiently. What You Need Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
Proven hands-on experience in vehicle diagnosis, servicing, and general repairs. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily repair work.
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability, attention to detail, reliability, and a professional, quality-focused mindset. Location & Search Reach Based in Clevedon (North Somerset, BS21), our workshop offers an easy, straightforward commute for candidates travelling from Portishead, Weston-super-Mare, Nailsea, Yatton, Bristol, Avonmouth, and surrounding Somerset areas.
