The College of Humanities, Education and the Arts seeks an adjunct faculty member to supervise one or more graduate level interns within a classroom setting where teacher candidates practice the knowledge and skills of a professional educator including observation, planning, instruction, assessment, and reflection.

Adjunct faculty supervisors are hired on a contractual, part-time basis, to supervise student interns for specified quarters throughout an academic year. Observations may be online or in person, depending on the placement site.

Requirements

Terminal degree in related field, along with excellent teaching skills across various classroom settings. A personal commitment to Christian faith, enthusiasm about supporting SPU's mission , alignment with the University's Statement of Faith , and willingness to accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.

A comfortability discussing the intersection of faith and education with students Rate of pay is dependent on level of program (undergraduate/graduate) and number of interns the adjunct faculty member will be supervising.
