Job description

We are seeking a Experienced R.NCS.T. / EMG-NCV Technologist to join our team at Max. Health! The R.NCS.T. / EMG-NCV Technologist performs nerve-conduction studies (NCS) in an outpatient setting, prepares patients and equipment for physician-performed EMG testing, maintains study quality and technical consistency, and contributes to a smooth, patient-centered clinic experience.

This is a full-time, Dallas-based position.

Responsibilities

Independently perform high-quality, reproducible nerve-conduction studies in accordance with physician direction, established protocols, and applicable professional standards. Prepare patients for NCS and EMG procedures; explain the testing process, answer appropriate questions, and help patients feel informed and comfortable.

Support the neurologist during EMG testing by ensuring proper room, patient, equipment, and documentation readiness. Recognize technical issues that may affect study accuracy, troubleshoot within scope, and promptly escalate concerns to the supervising physician when appropriate. Obtain, document, and maintain accurate clinical information, testing data, and required records in the electronic health record.

Ensure NCS/EMG rooms, equipment, supplies, electrodes, and related materials are clean, stocked, functional, and ready for scheduled patient care. Follow infection-prevention, patient-safety, privacy, HIPAA, and organizational policies at all times. Assist with appropriate clinical and administrative workflow needs during non-testing periods, including patient intake, rooming, scheduling support, documentation, and coordination with clinic staff.

Participate in workflow standardization, quality improvement, and the growth of Max. Health’s neurodiagnostic services. Required Qualifications Current, active Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) credential. Recent experience independently performing nerve-conduction studies in an EMG/EDX, neurology, PM&R, orthopedic/spine, pain-management, occupational-medicine, or comparable clinical setting.

Demonstrated ability to obtain technically sound, reproducible NCS results and identify or troubleshoot common technical issues. Experience supporting physician-performed EMG testing and working effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. Strong patient-communication skills, professional judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient privacy and safety.

Ability to work a regular full-time Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Ability to meet the physical requirements of an active outpatient clinical role, including standing, walking, assisting patients as appropriate, and handling clinical equipment and supplies.

Preferred qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish. Two or more years of recent experience as an R.NCS.T., EMG/NCV technologist, or electrodiagnostic technologist. Experience using e. Clinical. Works or another ambulatory electronic health record system. Experience working in a multi-site outpatient healthcare organization. Medical assistant, phlebotomy, patient-intake, scheduling, or other cross-functional outpatient clinic experience.

Familiarity with quality-control processes, documentation standards, and standardized testing protocols for NCS/EMG services.
