Position Overview

The Student Success HUB Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations and cross-functional needs of our student-facing departments. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to gain diverse administrative, event planning, and creative experience while ensuring a seamless, supportive environment for the campus community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Departmental Support: Provide general assistance to all departments operating within the Student Success HUB, including Academic Advising, Career Services, Enrollment & Outreach, Financial Aid, Marketing, the Registrar's Office, Student Accounts, and Student Life.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform routine office tasks such as copying, scanning, data entry, and organizing digital or physical files.
  • Event Operations: Assist in the logistics of campus events, which includes physical setup, active event support, and post-event takedown.
  • Creative Assistance: Support the Marketing and Student Life teams with light graphic design tasks.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Complete other administrative and operational duties as assigned by departmental supervisors. Federal Work-Study Compliance & Schedule Requirements This position is strictly governed by Federal Work-Study regulations. Employees must adhere to the following scheduling policies:
  • Daily Limit: Students may not work more than 5 hours per day.
  • Weekly Limit: Students may not work more than 20 hours per week.
  • Award Maximum: Total hours worked must not result in earnings that exceed the student’s allocated Federal Work-Study total award amount for the year.
  • Class Schedule Conflict Policy: Students are strictly prohibited from working or clocking in during their scheduled class hours. This federal regulation applies even in the event that a class is unexpectedly canceled or ends early.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled at New. School of Architecture & Design and have an active Federal Work-Study award.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and adapt to changing daily priorities.
  • Basic proficiency in office software and administrative tasks; graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Reliable, punctual, and communicative regarding schedule tracking and award limits.
