Marketing never stands still. New technologies, platforms, and consumer expectations continually reshape how organizations connect with audiences and compete in the marketplace. This opportunity allows marketing professionals and scholars to share valuable expertise while challenging students to think creatively, build sound strategy, and connect foundational concepts with current tools and industry practices.

Teaching opportunities span marketing, digital marketing, fashion marketing and merchandising, sales management, and event marketing and management. Programs include the Bachelor of Science in Marketing , Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing & Merchandising , and Master of Science in Digital Marketing , along with specialized minors, a graduate certificate, and an accelerated bachelor’s-to-master’s pathway.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned undergraduate or graduate marketing courses in accordance with established course objectives and academic standards Create an engaging and supportive learning environment Connect marketing theory with current industry practices, technologies, and emerging trends Provide students with timely feedback and maintain regular communication throughout the course Collaborate with the department chair and faculty as appropriate Fulfill all responsibilities associated with the assigned course Qualifications: A minimum of a master’s degree in marketing, business, or a closely related field Academic or professional expertise relevant to the assigned course Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills Commitment to fostering a collegial and supportive environment in which all members of the University community can thrive and succeed Application Instructions: Qualified applicants are invited to submit a letter of interest, current CV, statement of teaching philosophy, and relevant examples from courses taught (if applicable).

Upon offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to provide one formal letter of recommendation on professional letterhead and an official transcript reflecting their highest earned degree. Review of applications will be ongoing based on the needs of the department.

Compensation

& Benefits: The salary range for this position is $4,300–$5,400 per 3-credit course. Adjunct Instructors are not eligible to participate in the University’s employee health and welfare benefit programs; however, they are eligible to participate in Sacred Heart University’s 403(b) retirement plan, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of the plan.
