Retail Merchandising Manager
Job description
Travis. Mathew is a premium apparel brand that exists because we seized an opportunity—and we’re inviting you to take yours. Back in 2007, we saw there weren’t many companies whose clothing bridged the gap between performance and lifestyle, so we created our own. Inspired by the sun, surf, and sand of Southern California, we became a leading innovator in lifestyle performance apparel by making clothes for real life—plus working with premium wholesalers, building a leading e-commerce business, and opening retail stores around the world.
We invite you to join team Travis. Mathew. The Manager of Retail Product Merchandising is responsible for supporting the development, communication, and execution of sales and inventory strategies that support the retail financial plan. This individual partners closely with the merchandising, planning, allocation, and visual merchandising teams to develop merchandise plans and targets for key categories.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute product assortment strategies for retail stores in partnership with the merchandising team, with a focus on tiering, ranking, and flow timing aligned to financial plans.
Analyze assortment plans to identify gaps, opportunities, and potential liabilities against sales and inventory goals. Partner with Visual Merchandising to support merchandising strategies, space allocation, store capacities, and product presentation. Partner with Demand, PLM, and Merchandising teams to provide retail-specific insights and recommendations on to-buy quantities and product needs.
Partner with the Allocations team to develop and execute strategies that ensure the right products are available in the right locations at the right time, balancing sales potential with inventory constraints. Analyze sales performance, margin trends, inventory productivity, and profitability metrics to evaluate merchandise performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Conduct hindsight analysis of financial, inventory, and assortment performance to identify learnings and inform future season planning. Provide qualitative and quantitative insights during all Go-To-Market touch points and investment reviews to support product and assortment decisions. Maintain and enhance knowledge of geographic, store, and customer attributes to identify market-level trends and incorporate insights into merchandise strategies.
