Classified Substitute Pool

Job Summary

Chico Unified School District is currently recruiting substitutes for the following classifications:

• Cafeteria Assistant
• Delivery Worker
• Custodian
• Licensed Vocational Nurse Positions have varying shifts and schedules, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

/ Qualifications All substitutes are required to complete the following prior to working:

• Live. Scan (fingerprint) clearance
• Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
• Keenan Safe. Schools mandated training modules
• New hire paperwork (I-9, W-4, etc.), along with two valid forms of identification Additional requirements may include*:
• Passing a District Competency Test or meeting No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Proof of current automobile insurance
• Current CPR and/or First Aid certification
• Commercial Driver’s License, School Bus Driver Certification & DMV Medical Examiner’s Certificate (for transportation roles) *Specific requirements will vary by classification.
