Medical Office Administrator - Durban North (KZN)
Job description
A busy multidisciplinary psychology practice is looking for a vibrant, articulate, and experienced Administrator in Durban North (KZN). The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transport is required. Managing the diaries of allocated clinicians Scheduling of appointments Contacting newly referred clients for appointments Answering phone calls Responding to inquiries Maintaining professional communication Switchboard management Receiving clients in the reception area Issuing invoices, doing billing Collection of payments Issuing receipts Dealing with claim queries and PMB applications to medical aids Managing medical aid queries Following up on unpaid accounts Assist with account queries Daily cash up for the branch Ensure the practice is always neat and tidy Performing general admin tasks Filing Requirements Experience: Minimum of two years experience as administrator in the medical/allied health industry
- Essential Experience in at least one medical management sotward program
- Essential Experience in doing billing and collection of payments
- Essential Having GoodX experience will be an advantage Qualifications: Matric
- Essential Required Skills: The ability to manage 3 to 4 psychologists' diaries with accuracy and precision The ability to work under pressure Strong knowledge of practice management systems Excellent telephone etiquette Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Afrikaans Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, Team, GoodX, etc.) Financial management skills, such as daily cash up and petty cash.
