As a Rider on our Placerville to El Dorado Hills route, you’ll be picked up along the way. You’ll work alongside the driver and school staff to keep every ride safe, calm, and supportive, and may also provide Behavioral Aide support during school hours as needed. No commute, no gas Monday–Friday, school hours. No nights or weekends, school holidays off Midday break between shifts, (with the option to pick up Behavioral Aide hours) Paid training, including Pro-ACT/CPR Meaningful work: you’re often the first friendly face students see each day Schedule Morning: 4:30/5:30 AM – 8:30 AM Afternoon: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM What You’ll Do As a Rider Supervise and support students during transportation to and from school Assist with safe loading and unloading Provide encouragement and behavioral redirection to keep rides calm and positive Track attendance and complete required documentation Follow transportation safety procedures and emergency protocols Communicate concerns or incidents to supervisors and school staff As a Behavioral Aide (as needed) Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Provide one-on-one instructional and behavioral support Help students participate in class and daily routines Collect and document student progress data Collaborate with teachers and clinical staff What We’re Looking For Passion for working with students with special needs Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure Reliable and ready for early mornings Strong communication and teamwork skills Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Must Have High school diploma or equivalent DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance and TB clearance Ability to safely assist and supervise students during transportation Physically able to support student needs as required Preferred Experience working with children or individuals with special needs Experience in school transportation or student support services Experience supporting students with behavioral, social, or emotional needs Pro-ACT, CPI, CPR, or First Aid certification Apply today.
