Ice Skate Guard

Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Centennial Ice Arena

• Highland Park, IL, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.75Hourly, Job Summary The Ice Skate Guard will provide safety to all skaters during public skate. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Job Duties Include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Maintain constant flow and direction of skaters on the ice.
• Enforce all safety rules.
• Provide basic first aid if needed.
• Complete and submit accident/incident reports to Recreation Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Help patrons needing assistance on ice.
• Attend all staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
• Assist staff during special events.
• Assist front desk staff with skate rentals before and after public skate.
• Follow all PDHP and CIA policies and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Education

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: American Red Cross CPR/AED Basic First Aid Wage Range: $15.00-$16.75 per hour Classification: Part-time, non-exempt Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
