Lead Cook

Futures Recovery Healthcare is a state-licensed, Joint Commission accredited behavioral healthcare provider located in Tequesta, Florida of Palm Beach County. The Lead Cook will be responsible for supervising the kitchen cooks and runners and make sure they are providing outstanding customer service experiences while preparing and serving food according to food handlers guidelines. Duties and Competencies: Lead kitchen team members during their work shifts. Able to prepare food according to food handlers' guidelines.

Knowledge of cooking procedures. Able to communicate with Prep Cooks & Wait staff. Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment. Label and date all food stored & Rotate food as needed. Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work all shifts and holidays. Follow opening and closing procedures. Able to work in a high pace and hot environment.

Able to multi-task. Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Attends in-service training, when necessary. Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or director.

Qualifications

High School Diploma Required or GED Two to Three years of cooking experience in a long-term care environment preferred Food Service Sanitation and/or Serv.
