Quality Technician Location: Taylor, MI 48180 Schedule: 2nd Shift | Onsite Oakwood Group, a family-owned automotive supplier since 1945, is looking for a Quality Technician to join our growing team in Taylor, Michigan. What You'll Do
As a Quality Technician, you'll be a key resource for quality-related activities throughout the plant.
Your responsibilities
Supporting production quality and inspection activities Performing gage calibrations and maintaining calibration records Conducting Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies Assisting with customer PPAP submissions and annual validations Tracking and managing nonconforming materials Conducting Layered Process Audits (LPAs) Supporting customer, supplier, and internal quality investigations Maintaining quality records, samples, and master parts Assisting with engineering changes and process improvements Using root-cause analysis tools to identify and solve problems Helping promote a safe, organized, and quality-focused workplace What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working with both people and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field Familiarity with automotive quality tools, including: PPAP MSA Control Plans PFMEA SPC Basic metrology and measurement skills Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience conducting audits or supporting quality systems is a plus Why Join Oakwood?
