This role focuses on high-quality, efficient inpatient cardiovascular management, multidisciplinary coordination, and safe transitions of care. Overview

7 consecutive days of inpatient service, followed by 7 consecutive days off Flexibility is schedule, opportunity to discuss shift schedule in interviews Typical service hours: [e.g., 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM] Responsibilities: Provide inpatient cardiology consultative and/or primary service coverage during assigned 7-day blocks Evaluate and manage acute cardiovascular conditions, including Acute coronary syndromes, Decompensated heart failure, Arrhythmias, Syncope, Valvular heart disease Pre-operative cardiac evaluations Interpret ECGs, telemetry, stress tests (if applicable), echocardiograms (if credentialed), and other noninvasive cardiac studies Perform bedside procedures as credentialed (e.

g., cardioversion, temporary pacing, TEE if applicable) Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and critical care teams Participate in multidisciplinary rounds (ICU, heart failure, structural, or shock team as applicable) Supervise and provide teaching to residents, fellows, and APPs (if academic setting) Ensure timely documentation and communication with referring providers Facilitate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up coordination About Columbia, MO: our community offers a compelling blend of professional opportunities and quality of life that makes it an ideal place for physicians seeking to relocate.
