About the Role

A leading global manufacturer of heavy industrial equipment is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Design Engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing electrical circuits and controls that align with the company’s core goals of safety, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.

This position is ideal for engineers who are passionate about designing intelligent, efficient electrical systems and enjoy solving real-world engineering challenges in complex machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Systems Design & Development Investigate and develop cost-effective electrical systems addressing circuit logic, current loads, resistance, amperage, and voltage using appropriate calculations. Create and check detailed drawings and electrical schematics to guide control system architecture and ensure conformance to internal design policies.

Interpret relevant electrical standards and incorporate them into system designs for mobile equipment. Identify and select appropriate electrical components by working directly with suppliers. Engineering Documentation & Support Prepare, check, and revise engineering orders and bills of materials. Develop and review assembly drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Support prototype assembly and assist with testing of new designs. Assist manufacturing teams during assembly and testing processes. Resolve issues raised by production engineering, sourcing, or assembly personnel. Collaboration & Coordination Coordinate design work with other team members to ensure integration across product systems.

Investigate and implement solutions for custom client requests and field service issues. Prepare project time estimates and manage schedule alignment with broader product timelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within heavy equipment or industrial machinery. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools. Strong understanding of mobile equipment electrical systems and controls. Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical information clearly.
