Heavy Equipment Operator / Laborer

Title : Heavy Equipment Operator / Laborer Location : Portland, OR Status : Full Time/ Hourly/Temporary Safety Sensitive : Yes Position Summary: Midnight Sun is looking to hire an Operator / Laborer for operation of an excavator to load soil into trucks for disposal. Other laborer duties to assist construction work will be required.

This project is prevailing wage; hourly rate will be as required by contracted wage determinations and job description. This work is scheduled to be completed in approximately 90 days.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect equipment daily to assure it is in proper condition to operate. Load trucks using excavator. Proficiency with small tools. Perform other laborer duties to assist with construction activities as needed. Comply with all company policies and applicable federal, state and local laws and safety standards. Must have An Uncompromising Commitment to Safety!

Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Driver's license is required with a clean driving record. 40-hour HAZWOPER, OSHA 30, CPR training preferred. Must pass a Drug Test and background checks. Prior experience with safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment and observance of traffic laws and regulations as well as OSHA Standards.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds or less.
